32 Tons Intelligent Grab EOT Crane for Blast Furnace Project

Project Background

To support the industrial transformation and upgrading of Guangxi Chiji Iron and Steel’s production base, Henan Mine Crane delivered a batch of intelligent lifting equipment for the enterprise’s 2060m³ blast furnace project. The client purchased a total of 4 units of QZ‑32/5t double girder grab EOT cranes for the blast furnace slag treatment process. All four cranes are installed above the blast furnace slag water quenching tanks, specially customized for the treatment of ironmaking blast furnace waste residue. Tailored for the extreme harsh working environment of high temperature, heavy water vapor and high dust in steel smelting workshops, the equipment is equipped with a full set of intelligent control systems to achieve stable and efficient automated operation.

Working Condition Overview

The cranes are applied to the water quenching treatment of blast furnace slag. A large amount of water vapor is generated when high-temperature molten blast furnace slag is flushed and quenched with water on-site, forming a low-visibility, high-humidity and high-dust working environment. The core operation of the equipment is to automatically grab the water-quenched blast furnace slag and transfer and unload the materials to the designated silo, realizing continuous and intelligent slag treatment for the blast furnace production line.


Core Equipment & Technical Advantages

The QZ‑32/5t intelligent grab metallurgical crane adopts a heavy-duty wide box girder structure, featuring excellent fatigue resistance and structural stability, which can long-term adapt to the harsh working conditions of high temperature, high humidity, dense water vapor and high dust in the metallurgical workshop.


In terms of intelligent configuration, the equipment is fully equipped with an advanced PLC intelligent control system, anti-sway system and precise positioning system. It supports accurate positioning and stable anti-sway operation during high-frequency material grabbing and transferring. Matched with an intelligent perception system, the crane can complete automatic grabbing, transferring and discharging of slag materials efficiently even in low-visibility environments filled with dense water vapor and dust.


In addition, the project adopts a remote scheduling and management mode, which completely replaces traditional on-site manual operation. It effectively reduces the labor intensity of on-site workers, improves the automation level of the blast furnace slag treatment process, and realizes safe, efficient and low-consumption production operation.
