1. Project Background

Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge is a landmark mega cross-river transportation project under China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, connecting Zhangjiagang (Suzhou), Jingjiang (Taizhou) and Rugao (Nantong) in Jiangsu Province. The south navigation channel main span reaches 2300 meters, ranking the world’s longest suspension bridge span, with six world-leading technical records including the world’s tallest suspension bridge pylon at 350 meters (equal to a 125-floor high-rise building). This ultra-high steel main pylon brings extremely strict requirements on large-tonnage, high-precision and high-safety hoisting equipment for on-site steel component installation.

As a core lifting equipment provider for the bridge’s steel tower construction section, Henan Mine was selected to develop tailor-made 700t gantry crane after winning the tender. This cooperation marks Henan Mine’s fourth key supporting project for China’s major Yangtze River bridge construction, following Jianzhou Bridge, Changtai Yangtze River Bridge and Ma’anshan Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge projects.

  2. Multi-lifting-point Synchronous Auto-balancing System: Multiple hoisting points run synchronously with real-time automatic balance adjustment, cutting unnecessary energy loss and boosting overall hoisting efficiency for oversized steel tower segments.

  3. Full-fiber Optic Signal Transmission: The whole equipment adopts fiber optic communication instead of traditional cable transmission to eliminate electromagnetic signal interference, achieving high electrical integration and stable long-distance signal delivery on complex construction sites.

  4. Embedded Automatic Positioning System: Built-in high-precision auto positioning module enables millimeter-level positioning during component lifting, fully satisfying the ultra-high dimensional tolerance standard of world-class super bridge steel structure installation.

Besides the flagship 700t gantry crane, Henan Mine also supplied matching 300t overhead cranes to assist auxiliary component turnover and lifting at the prefabrication yard of the bridge project.
